What do I need to rent a car?

You need a valid driver's license (held for at least 2 years), a valid passport, a major credit card in the driver's name, and you must be at least 21 years old.

Can I decline coverage?

TPL third-party liability coverage is required for rentals with Natural and cannot be declined. SLI is optional and recommended; eligible external CDW or LDW may be accepted with written, verifiable proof valid in Costa Rica.

Do you pick up at SJO airport?

Yes! We offer meet-and-greet service at both Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in San José and Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR) in Liberia.

Can I return the car at a different location?

Accepted Answer

Yes, one-way rentals are available between our locations. A one-way fee may apply depending on the locations. Select "Return to a different location" when booking.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

We monitor flight arrivals and adjust pick-up times accordingly at no extra charge. Please provide your flight number when booking so we can track it.

Do I need an International Driving Permit?

Accepted Answer

An IDP is recommended but not required for most nationalities. If your license is not in English, a certified translation or IDP is strongly recommended.

Question 7

What type of fuel do the cars use?

Accepted Answer

Most of our vehicles use regular gasoline. Fuel type information is provided with each vehicle category. Vehicles are delivered with a full tank.

Question 8

Can I take the car across the border?

Accepted Answer

No, our vehicles cannot be taken outside of Costa Rica. Cross-border travel is strictly prohibited and voids all coverage.
