Check the booking against the vehicle

Confirm that the assigned vehicle and equipment meet the reserved category and the route requirements discussed. Load the luggage and check passenger seating before leaving.

Raise any space or access concern while the provider is present. It is easier to resolve a mismatch at collection than on a remote road.

Record condition together

Inspect the exterior and interior with the provider and make sure existing damage is recorded through the company's process. Keep clear photos or video for your own records where appropriate.

Ask about anything unclear on the report. The goal is shared understanding, not a rushed signature without checking the vehicle.

Learn the practical controls

Check lights, wipers, parking brake, transmission controls and the fuel-filler release. If the car has a 4x4 system, ask how and when the specific system should be used.

Confirm the fuel type and locate the equipment supplied for roadside situations. Ask how assistance is arranged rather than assuming you should handle every problem yourself.

Leave with a complete return plan

Save the assistance contact, exact return location, return hours, fuel requirement and any shuttle instructions. Set the first hotel route while parked.
