Build a real packing list

List each passenger, required child equipment, suitcase and stroller. Include the items often forgotten in a quote request, such as a travel cot or a large day pack.

A vehicle that seats everyone may still lack space for the full load. Confirm capacity with the seats and child restraints in the positions you will actually use.

Check child equipment in advance

Discuss the child's size and the suitable restraint with the rental company, then confirm availability and the booking arrangement. Follow current requirements and the equipment manufacturer's instructions.

At handover, take time to check the installation and ask for help where needed. Do not leave the office with an unresolved seating or restraint problem.

Choose comfort for transfer days

Think about rear-seat room, the number of long drives and access to items needed during breaks. A relaxed itinerary can matter as much as a larger car.

Keep loose objects secured and sight lines clear. Passengers should not have to hold heavy bags because the luggage area is full.

Include the hotel driveway

Family comfort does not replace route suitability. Confirm whether a villa or lodge needs higher clearance or 4x4, particularly when booking a property above the coast.

Send the full itinerary before choosing the category. If the required vehicle does not fit the group comfortably, reconsider the accommodation or transport plan before travel.
